ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU SO MUCH!!!:)
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to the general comment section of this site??? I really liked it...
ReplyDeleteYay, glad you guys can find this useful!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - If you open December 2008 in the Archives, you'll find a post called "Contact" and it's still there. My blog is under a bit of construction right now, so things are moving around.
Don't know how this will sound in piano. I once tried to perfom a guitar duo with this one, but my partner moved on and it didn't work out in the end.
ReplyDeleteLove Zelda themes anyway. Though they are not as "mighty" and "epic" as the ones from Final Fantasy or Super Mario Galaxy (they're, in fact, quite simple), Kondo knows how to put great emotions in very few notes and lines.
Can't wait for new Zelda 2010
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!
ReplyDeleteWhy is it cut off?
ReplyDeleteMP - If you mean the image, it's just a preview. Downloading the PDF file will still get you the full score!
ReplyDeleteKnoll - I agree; the stripped down nature of Zelda tunes (particularly from OoT) is extremely appealing to me. I think the whole soundtrack has a certain delicateness and human quality in the way the tracks are executed, even though it's all MIDI. You can hear how certain notes are louder and softer than others, and how some notes are held down for slightly longer than others, as if someone were performing it on a keyboard instead of mechanically clicking the notes in. I love it. :)
How do I download the PDF?
DeleteThank you :D. You really are good at music. I hope to be as good as you some day.
ReplyDeleteYou know how on your website there are those songs under the suite well I listened to the music you put on there and the titles are very unspecific. I’m guessing that the gymnopedie is by Erik Satie and the Nocturne by Chopin but who is the Prelude by and the others what number are they??? Thanks I just really wanted to know because I like the song so much!
ReplyDeletethanks
Joakim - Thank you very much!
ReplyDeleteMP - Actually, they were composed by me. That's my portfolio site, where I post my original compositions. :) The suite that you're talking about is a set of piano pieces that I composed for my boyfriend, based on musical styles and composers that he likes (which includes Satie and Chopin). Glad you enjoyed them!
Your amazing at composing then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this Aivi! Your arrangement is amazing. I've looked at other sheets of this tune and in my honest opinion, they just don't compare.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, it seems like it's been forever since we've heard from you. Glad to know that you're still here and we can still look forward to hearing new covers from you :)
